I’m planning a guild presentation on various types of applique, which has given me the incentive to quilt up some of my quilts. I took a class from Irena Bluhm at MQS last year and machine appliqued the center of this quilt and marked the quilting designs using drawings she had in class. I loaded the quilt Thursday night and spent most of today quilting it. I usually quilt feathers with thread that matches the background. This is the first time I’ve used thread that was a strong contrast, and I’m pretty pleased with the results.
Now I get to play with coloring it.
